Synopsis

Never mix business with pleasure. Never bring politics into the bedroom. In a way I did both when I took Jackson Rutledge as a lover. I can't say I wasn't warned. Two years later, he was back. Walking into a deal I'd worked hard to close. Under the tutelage of Lei Yeung, one of the sharpest businesswomen in New York, I had picked up a thing or two since Jax walked away. I wasn't the girl he once knew, but he hadn't changed. Unlike the last time we'd drifted into each other's lives, I knew exactly what I was dealing with…and how addictive his touch could be.The inner circle of glamour, sex, and privilege was Jax's playground—but this time, I knew the rules of the game. In the cutthroat business world, one adage rules all: keep your enemies close and your ex-lovers closer…

About Sylvia Day

Japanese American writer, Sylvia June Day was born on March 11, 1973. Day writes romance novels, speculative/paranormal fiction, historical fiction, and futuristic fiction (under the pseudonym Livia Dare.) S. J. Day is the pseudonym for her non-romance genre works.

Day is a #1 bestseller in 28 countries. She is the co-founder of “Passionate Ink”, a special interest chapter of Romance Writers of America, and served on the Board of Directors from 2009-2013 as well as became the 22nd President of the RWA. For the last three years, Day’s novels have taken spots among the top bestselling books on global year-end sales round ups, making her one the most widely read authors in the world today.

In addition to her novels, Day has written numerous novellas and short stories for both print and digital-first release. Her work has been called an “exhilarating adventure”, by Publishers Weekly and “wickedly entertaining”, by Booklist. She’s been honored with the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice award, the National Reader’s Choice Award, and multiple nominations for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA Award of Excellence.

Born in Los Angeles, she grew up in Orange County and later lived in Monterey and Oceanside. Day now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, but occasionally enjoys her pied-a`-terre on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York. She considers the two vibrant, energetic, and never-dark cities perfect for a writer whose working hours are as unpredictable as her characters.

Does anyone know if the publishing date has been changed to March 11 for sure? I'm pretty much going to be done with Slyvia Day and her books if so. Don't get me wrong, she is an excellent author but the wait between books in her series is just ridiculous and the way release dates are consistently p......more

"I have to keep telling myself it's real" Jax has convinced Gia that they need to be together again – not that Gia has many objections. Surely, she does not trust him. She knows that possibly he will betray her again. She knows that surely he will break her heart again. There is tension between t......more

A wonderfully entertaining story from Sylvia Day! Have you ever wanted something so bad, you couldn't imagine not having it? There were two things in my life I’d felt that way about: the man I’d stupidly fallen in love with and the administrative assistant position I was about to interview fo......more

3.5 RUSHED Stars ”You’re swimming with sharks…” I read the first book last August and I didn’t remember much about the inner workings of the business side of this story or Jackson’s family and sadly the author doesn’t recap at all for her readers. This story was just as short as the first book and......more

Do I have a few favorite book heroine? That's a GREAT BIG YES. I didn't know how to deal with all the emotions he’d been stirring up in me since he had walked back into my life. I kept shifting from wanting to heal whatever was wounding him to wanting to hurt him myself. I have a total La......more
