Holly Goldberg Sloan Audiobooks

Holly Goldberg Sloan is a novelist and screenwriter known for warm, emotionally intelligent stories about young people, families, friendship, grief, resilience, and finding a place to belong. Her bestselling children's and young adult books include Counting by 7s, Short, The Elephant in the Room, Appleblossom the Possum, and To Night Owl from Dogfish, written with Meg Wolitzer. Before becoming widely known as a novelist, Sloan built a career in film, writing family features and directing The Big Green, experience that shows in her strong sense of scene, dialogue, pacing, and visual storytelling. Her audiobooks are especially well suited to listeners who enjoy contemporary middle-grade fiction with memorable characters, humor, tenderness, and serious themes handled with an accessible touch. Counting by 7s, in particular, has introduced many readers to Sloan's ability to explore loss and unconventional families without losing a sense of hope. Parents, educators, families, and younger listeners looking for heartfelt audiobooks about friendship, school, identity, and emotional growth will find plenty to discover in Holly Goldberg Sloan's catalog. Her stories make difficult experiences approachable while celebrating curiosity, connection, and the unexpected ways communities form around people who need one another.
