About The Author

Roy Hession, a successful evangelist in England, knew he had lost the power of the Spirit in his life - a terrible feeling as he led his evangelistic campaigns. In 1947, after meeting leaders of the East African Church, he recognized a deep personal need. He first published the principles the Lord taught him from this experience as The Calvary Road. He wrote the companion book, We Would See Jesus, in partnership with his wife, Revel. Described as the "inspirer, adviser and trusted colleague" in all that God gave Roy to do, Revel played a major role in Roy's evangelistic work and in their monthly paper called Challenge.

Ok I struggled to review this book, mostly because I read two full size novels in the span of this tiny lil Gospel read. 3.75 stars. Love how God is presented in this book. It’s encouraging and grace-filled. I agreed with about half of what he said about man. Some of it seemed a little too “man is disgusting and worthless” but not all of it. Overall, this book paints a beautiful picture of Jesus.......more

Really great book. Appreciated and liked it a lot more than Calvary Road (probably have to read again). It visits awesome truths and has me nodding and saying "Mmmm" and "Amen!" I plan to read again in the future to glean more and be blessed from such clear writing, unlike my reviews!......more
