Students explore foundational principles and theories of political science, tracing the evolution of political systems from ancient to modern times, and examining the roles and functions of government branches. The course compares political systems and electoral processes worldwide, analyzes political parties, interest groups, and media influence, and investigates public policy formulation and international relations.
It begins with fundamental concepts such as power, authority, and legitimacy, and explores major political ideologies like liberalism, conservatism, and socialism. Through comparative politics, students gain a global perspective on governance and study electoral systems and voting behavior to understand democratic processes.
