Synopsis

The first Betsy Taylor, Vampire Queen novel.

It’s been a hell of a week for Betsy Taylor. First, she loses her job. Then, she’s killed in a car accident. But what really bites (besides waking up in the morgue dressed in a pink suit and cheap shoes courtesy of her stepmother) is that she can’t seem to stay dead. Every night she rises, with a horrible craving for blood.

And she’s not taking too well to a liquid diet. Worst of all, Betsy’s new friends have some silly idea that she’s the prophesied vampire queen.

Betsy has had a bad day. She gets laid off from work and then hit by a car and smashed into a tree. When she wakes up in a coffin at the funeral home, wearing a ghastly pink suit and her "stepmonsters" cheap pink heels, she thinks she's a zombie and tries to top herself. Again and again and again. I......more

Within about 20 pages, I knew this wasn't the book for me, but I really wanted to like it. I just never connected well with the MC, and it seemed to set the tone for the rest of the book. I found a lot of the book to be too cheesy in humor, and the MC, Betsy, was annoying and shallow. I guess this j......more
