Synopsis

Vampire queen Betsy Taylor is back—and there’s going to be hell to pay …

After her recent trip to hell, Betsy isn’t exactly sorry she killed the devil, even though it’s put her sister Laura in a damnable position: forced to assume the role of Satan—she may not have the training, but she sure looks great in red—and in charge of billions of souls now that she’s moved up in the world. Or is that down?

But Betsy’s in an odd new situation as well—that of being a monarch suddenly in charge of all things earthbound, like her husband, Sinclair, who has gone from relieved to ecstatic to downright reckless now that he can tolerate sunlight.

As if that wasn’t enough, Betsy and Sinclair’s adopted little BabyJon is finally starting to walk. And if the increasingly unpredictable toddler is anything like his extended family, precisely where he's headed is anyone's guess.

These stories are fun and a bit on the ditzy side, but I still enjoy the wild humor. Our heroine, the Vampire Queen, Betsy, is still trying to fix her karma and do good as an evil being. So, killing Satan didn’t end evil. Betsy has a lot more evil to battle including her do-gooder sister.......more

This was one of the more painful books I’ve read in a long while. It rambled, it was pointless, it made no sense. Sinclair was such a pale imitation of his former self. He always reminded me of Roark; now he’s just a goofy, somewhat neutered Queen’s consort, not the big, bad incredibly sexy vampire......more

I've been hanging on with you MJD but this has got to stop. It's time to wrap up this series. This book wasn't really about anything. It's Betsy bitching for nearly 300 pages and while it's exciting that we are getting some chapters from Sinclair's POV... it turns out, he's not nearly as brooding or......more

Well, it's better than the last. After some time away, I see the beauty in the madness. The book may be written to be stupid, but that's the key. The author writes with intent to be funny using stupidity as it's humor. Unlike RP, the world building isn't half through together, there is purpose in it......more

2.5 stars For the entire first half of the book, I truly wondered if ANYTHING was going to actually happen in the story or if it was all going to be filler. I was halfway through the book and nothing had actually happened. Just the same old rehashing of past events in a rapid-fire, confusing nonsensi......more
