Synopsis

A memorable ensemble cast of four young women who share a beautiful loft apartment in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen and experience the glamour and challenges of city life, love, and career in this irresistible contemporary story.Four young women’s lives intersect in the apartment they’ve shared in Hell’s Kitchen: Claire, a shoe designer; Abby, an aspiring novelist; Morgan, a successful financial consultant; and Sasha, a resident in obstetrics. As different as they are from one another, the women had become a family by choice. But while their lives had proceeded smoothly in the years they’d lived together, new relationships, job opportunities, and surprising circumstances will test the strength of their bond in and outside the loft that had become their home.

About Danielle Steel

Danielle Fernandes Dominique Schuelein-Steel was born on August 14, 1947 in New York. Her father was a descendant of the Lowenbrau beer family and her mother was the daughter of a diplomat. She studied both literature and fashion design, first attending the Parsons School of Design and then New York University, graduating in 1967. Danielle Steel is currently the bestselling author alive today, and the fourth bestselling author of all time with over 650 million copies of her books sold. Steel has written 129 books, 93 of which were novels, primarily romance. Every one of her novels has achieved best seller status. She has been published in 69 countries and in 43 different languages. She has had 22 of her novels adapted for television movies and two of those received Golden Globe nominations. Danielle releases three new novels a year and works on multiple books at a time, often as many as five at once.

Steel has been married five times and although she is currently divorced, she is a strong believer in marriage and family. An only child, she discovered the joys of a big family as a child through one of her friends. She has nine children (seven biological and two stepsons that she has always considered her own) that are her greatest accomplishment. Her joy in life is her children and she speaks of them frequently on her website and her blog. Many of her books have been dedicated to one or more of her children. She was based in California for most of her career and now lives in both San Francisco and Paris.

Four gals, a funky and very cool loft apartment in Hells Kitchen who love each other to bits. Not too much repetition here, which is usually my main bugbear. But I did enjoy readi......more

BEST DANIELLE STEEL BOOK IN A LONG TIME I've read almost every book this author has written and it seems like the last 5-8 books are darker than her norm. This one is not. It is more like the early Danielle Steel and much more enjoyable. I read it in a day. It's the story of 5 young, single women who......more

Want a good drinking game to play while reading this ? Take a shot every time Danielle Steel starts a sentence with 'and'. The more I read, the more it drove me crazy. Not much happens in the book until 3/4th the way through. Maybe that's typical Danielle Steel, this is the first one I've read. But e......more
