Synopsis

Justice For AllThe members of the Sisterhood always stand together, and that includes aiding and protecting the men in their lives. Yoko's partner Harry Wong has received a phone call from his old schoolmate Jun Yu. Jun Yu resided at the same temple where Harry's daughter Lily was training, but they were all forced to evacuate. Jun Yu's managed to get his son out, but Lily is missing. And now Jun is trusting Harry to guard the most precious things in his life—his wife Ling and their two children, whom he has smuggled to America. While long-time ally Pearl Barnes whisks Ling and her children to safety via her underground railroad, the Sisters and their allies head to the war room to make plans. Finding Lily is a top priority, and Kathryn's partner, Bert Navarro, comes up with a way for the group to travel to China. They'll go to Macau, nicknamed "the Monte Carlo of the Orient," on the pretext of opening a casino there. The odds are stacked against them, but when the Sisterhood is involved, you can always bet on the underdog.…

About Fern Michaels

Self-described as someone who can scribble notes and tell great stories, author Fern Michaels, aka Mary Ruth Kuczkir, is a very prolific writer having written 147 books, with 90 being on the New York Times best sellers list. She was born in Pennsylvania, coming into this world as "a dinky little thing", as her father called her. She spent the early part of her adult life becoming a wife and mother of five children. After her children were grown, she separated from her husband, who was a very negative person, and began putting pen to paper to begin her writing career. She had always loved books, and writing one seemed to be the best chance for her to make her own way through the rest of her life. Her first manuscript was not published, but the second attempt was, and so began her illustrious career.

Her successful career allowed her to put all five children through college, on her own, which she claims is one of her most proud accomplishments. She says that when all is considered, family is the most important thing. Fern also bought a beautiful old (300 year old) plantation in South Carolina, where she still lives today. Her grandmother gave her very sage advice many years ago, which she lives by today.......when God is good to you, you have to give back. She developed the Fern Michaels Foundation which grants four scholarships to deserving students. She also opened a pre-school and day care center for single moms who are having a hard time supporting their family.

The quote that best describes is a Dutch saying.......If you can't whistle on your way to work, you don't belong in that job. She follows by saying, "I whistle all day long".

Loved, loved, loved it!! Back in top form are the Sisterhood, their men, and Cooper. We were back to problems dealing with one of their own instead of a random person they chose to help and that always makes for a better and more emotional story. One thing is for certain, you do NOT mess with Lily a......more

This is another, far-fetched book in the Sisterhood series by Fern Michaels. As usual, the plot, action and events defy reality. This time the men have taken on a bigger role in the story, which I found interesting, except that, unlike other books, they, not the girls, seem to be calling most of the......more

The Sisterhood in China When Harry has a dream about a cryptic phone call from a friend in China about his daughter, Lily and Jack has a dream about the dog, Cooper, things get crazy FAST! Things are not good for Lily in China - but Cooper knows she is currently safe. Plans are made and the entire grou......more

I have read several Fern Michaels books and have always enjoyed them. This one was very different and not what I expected from her. I finished reading it but found it far fetched and many characters over the top. I did not know it was part of a series until after I started reading it so it could be......more

Not my favorite. It lacked the vigilante appeal of the others. The series is losing what attracted me to it in the first place, bad ass woman correcting the seemingly untouchable villains. Since they've been pardoned, they've mellowed, they go in and detain the bad guy and someone else comes in and......more
