John’s suggested methods just seem so contradictory to me. I don’t know how to explain in a short post. I have his “MacArthur Study Bible” and enjoy reading it. It just seems impossible to consider and utilize all his recommendations. Very confusing to me. Maybe I am too literal.......more
For a new christian - 5 stars, for me - I expected more ideas HOW exactly to study the Bible, but the question HOW was only last 1/4 of the book. That being said, it is useful to think about WHY and motivate yourself, and there are helpful explanations of how to (not) interpret the Bible. Excellent b......more
