I absolutely loved this series except for the last book. It seemed that there was "fill" rather than content. I very disappointed and had to push through - hoping it would get better (like the 1-4 books) but it didn't. It was difficult to understand the Police woman character. All & all I thoroughly loved the first 4 books & will continue to follow Rachel Caine

Heartbreak Bay is the fifth book in the Stillhouse Lake series and another superb addition to the series. I'll say upfront that while each of these books will standalone, you're missing a great reading experience and a lot of character development if you skip any of the books. My advice: Read in ord......more
