Dead men sometimes do tell tales...

When the death of an old friend means a trip back to Northern Ireland, Connor Fraser welcomes the distraction from his troubles at home in Stirling. His estrangement from his partner, Jen, is growing ever-more painful, and he can only watch helplessly as his beloved grandmother's health deteriorates.

When he spots three familiar faces at the funeral, faces with ties to Northern Ireland's bloody past, Connor suspects his friend's death was more than a tragic accident. But before he can investigate, he's lured into a trap and attacked.

Pursued by ruthless professionals who don't care if they bring Connor to their bosses alive or dead, he must go off-grid. As he tries to untangle the web of deceit that has ensnared him, he's faced with choices, and losses, that threaten to break him.

A mystery of the past could destroy the peace of the future. With his back to the wall, can Connor unravel it all, before it's too late?

'A frantic, pacy read with a compelling hero' - Steve Cavanagh

This is book five of the Acid Vanilla series and sees her ignoring Spook’s advice, to continue her journey of revenge against the man who killed her mother. Exit wounds....and what an exit!! Certainly one I wasn't expecting. I loved the fact that the story includes the pandemic we have at the moment. This was an Acid I hadn't seen before and she certainly didn't disappoint. Once you start it you can't put it down and I for one can't wait for the next bo......more

For me, the best book yet in a very good series. Plenty of twists and turns, constant action and Acid finally coming face to face with her former employer in unexpected circumstances. An exciting ending wit much to look forward to in seeing where the Acid Vanilla story goes next.......more

Was sent an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. Flying into a turbulent country in the middle of a global pandemic to find and extract your revenge on your previous boss doesn’t seem like the best idea ever, but that’s exactly what our heroine does! But all is not what it seems, as a......more

What a great series and this I'd the best of all. Acid goes to Iran to seek revenge on the last of the people responsible for her mother's death. What happens while she is there is extremely thrilling to read, not what expected. To survive she has to work with the person who she came to kill. There are......more
