Excellent I’ve read a lot of western authors (La’mour, Johnstone etc) and have only recently discovered LJ Martin. He is now my favorite! The best western dialogue and unpredictable, highly entertaining stories along with some useful historical context. If you like Westerns, you will like this guy.......more

Very enjoyable I enjoyed this book very much. Although the characters are larger than life, the exaggeration is not great. The same holds for the plot, which has no unlikely twists or unrealistic coincidences. The historical setting is unusual and added to the enjoyment.......more

El Lazo was a well written book, full of action which kept my attention from the first page to the last. L. J. Martin is a great author and I look forward to reading more of his books.......more
