Synopsis

Jack Reacher takes aim at the White House in the sixth novel in Lee Child’s #1 New York Times bestselling series.

DON'T MISS REACHER ON PRIME VIDEO!

Skilled, cautious, and anonymous, Jack Reacher is perfect for the job: to assassinate the vice president of the United States. Theoretically, of course. A female Secret Service agent wants Reacher to find the holes in her system, and fast—because a covert group already has the vice president in their sights. They’ve planned well. There’s just one thing they didn’t plan on: Reacher.

About Lee Child

English Author Jim Grant (Pen Name) “Lee Child”, was born in 1954 in Coventry, England UK. His most notable writings are the Jack Reacher series novels. Beginning with his first novel, Killing Floor, each of his work follows a former American military policeman, Jack Reacher who wanders throughout the United States.

Grant (Child) studied law at the University of Sheffield, but knew he had no intention of practicing law. After graduating, he worked in commercial television. He worked in that venue until 1995. A fun fact is that he chose Reacher for his main characters name, because he himself is tall and his wife once said, “If this “writing thing” does not work out, you could always be a Reacher in a supermarket.” Grant (Child) describes his books as revenge stories-“somebody does a very bad thing, and Reacher takes revenge.” In 2012, his novel “One Shot”, was adapted into a film called “Jack Reacher”, starring Tom Cruise.

The sixth Jack Reacher novel opens when a woman named M. E. Froelich, who is the Secret Service agent in charge of security for Vice President-Elect Brook Armstrong, asks Reacher to assassinate Armstrong--in theory, of course. Someone has been sending death threats to Armstrong, which have been inte......more

Another enjoyable instalment: I think the audio format really suits me; I love to listen on my (mostly) daily walk after work. This one’s storyline was a little different, I enjoyed reading about a colleague of Jack’s came in to help him protect the Vice President and show the FBI where their safety......more

Popsugar Challenge 2021 - A Book in a different format than what you normally read Book 6 in the Jack Reacher series and I'm here for the ride. Arguably in a series you can almost lose the edge of the seat dramatics because you know in a 25 plus book series that your man is going to survive but Lee......more
