When life gets complicated, New York Times bestselling author Sherryl Woods proves family—and love—can make all the differenceFacing a personal crisis, ambitious and driven Gabriella Castle retreats to the welcoming arms of her family. Everything she's worked for has been yanked out from under her, and she seeks the serenity of her grandmother's home on the North Carolina coast. With difficult decisions to make about her future, the last thing she wants is an unexpected love.Wade Johnson fell for Gabi the first time he saw her. It's not the only time he's found himself in the role of knight in shining armor, but Gabi isn't looking for a rescuer. To get her to stay, Wade will need a whole lot of patience and gentle persuasion…and maybe the soothing sound of wind chimes on a summer breeze.

About Sherryl Woods

With her roots firmly planted in the South, Sherryl Woods has written many of her more than 100 books in that distinctive setting, whether her home state of Virginia, her adopted state, Florida, or her much-adored South Carolina. She's also especially partial to small towns, wherever they may be. I have read several lof Sherryl Woods other series and enjoyed them. I was, however, very bored with this story. The story was so not interesting that I never really got involved with her characters. I will not be continuing with this series. lets hope she goes back to more exciting stories.

I liked this story but I didn't fall in love with it. Gabi finds out she is pregnant and the father wants nothing to do with her and the baby. On top of it all she looses her job. Wade is a great guy and has liked her from the moment he met her but it turns out he has a past for saving pregnant hero......more

Instead of looking at a possible vice-presidency in her company and a successful relationship with her boyfriend, she......more

In fact, for the first three or so pages I thought I had already read it. It starts with Gabi finding herself pregnant by a friend with be......more

Fabulous beach read. The conflict is low-key and the plot is a lazy jellyfish bobbing up and down. But the characters are sympathetic and the coastal small town is charming. I took it on vacation and my copy is now full of sand. A feel-good book.......more
