Candy Kingfisher knows plants better than people. At fifty-seven, she’s one transfer away from escaping Florida’s trailer parks, hurricanes, and drama for a fresh start in Boulder, Colorado. Then her boss slaps her with a hefty fine and a Tuesday deadline. With no savings, a borrowed Corolla, and a side hustle growing marijuana in a failing greenhouse, Candy does the unthinkable: she steals a designer handbag.
