Ben Reeder was found in a pineapple patch near Honolulu, Hawaii, and adopted by an unsuspecting Air Force couple. He grew up in South Texas reading Tolkien, Asimov, and Robert E. Howard, and writing action stories for his friends in high school. He currently lives in Missouri with his girlfriend and two orange cats, Toby and Musaba.
Charlie Thurston has appeared on stages across the country, including Trinity Repertory Company, Arden Theatre Company, Baltimore Center Stage, Intiman Theater, Chautauqua Theater Company, and Riverside Theatre. Charlie holds an MFA in acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.
While I liked some of the drama in the first 1/3 of the book and the resolution in the last 1/3 of the book, I can't help but view this as a horse girl soap opera that got reduced to cheap characterizations with very poor portrayals of sisterhood.
