Synopsis

As President of the United States, Jack Ryan has faced many challenges, but none have been as personal as this and never has he been this helpless in the face of evil in the latest entry in Tom Clancy's #1 New York Times bestselling series.

Father Pat West, S.J. was a buddy of the young Jack Ryan when they were both undergraduates at Boston College. Father West left a comfortable job in the philosophy department at Georgetown to work with the poor in Indonesia. Now he's been arrested and accused of blasphemy against Islam.

President Ryan is desperate to rescue his old friend, but he can't move officially against the Indonesians. Instead he relies on the Campus team to find out who is framing the priest.

There's one other twist to the story. President Ryan discovers a text on his private cell phone from the priest warning about a coming attack against America...

Well, a lot of authors have tried to replicate Tom Clancy’s work, the best having been (by a long shot) Mark Greaney. But Marc Cameron is not bad and is settling into the role as the guy carrying the series forward. This is the techno-thriller you would expect. China have managed to steal an ultra-sm......more

The third Marc Cameron entry into the Jack Ryan story...He's proven himself to be an able "legacy author” carrying on the best the Clancy has given us...in this one, both the official government and the Sub Rosa are in a race to stop the deployment of a Red Chinese virus that has, as a feature, AI........more

A priest gets arrested in Indonesia, he’s a friend of President Ryan, and sends a cryptic text just in time to his friend, warning him of potentia......more

Still a few minor gaffes here & there (which I’ve highlighted in my Notes and Comments), but overall, definitely keeps the pages turning and has the most excit......more
