This was a strange little book, and I'm not quite sure what to make of it. The fantastical elements, because they were never really explained, placed the book more in the realm of magical realism than fantasy, with me wondering all the while whether those elements were really supposed to be symbolic......more
Graham's hands let him do some crazy things. Yes, Graham comes off as a bit dense, but there's something to be said for this: extraordinary gifts are sometimes more extraordinary because of the ordinariness of those who possess them. I recommend this on audio--great British narrator.......more
