About Edward M. Coffman

Edward M. Coffman is professor of history, emeritus, at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. A prominent military historian, he is the author of numerous articles and books, including The War to End All Wars and The Old Army.  He has received numerous awards and honors, from the Guggenheim Fellowship to the Spencer Tucker Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Military History.
