I hesitated two years to return to Susan Wittig Albert’s 2010 instalment, although I looked forward to it: “The Tale Of Oat Cake Crag”. I enjoy Beatrix Potter & Will Heelis as detectives. This is one of the ones in this series that didn't work for me. The author's narrative voice felt particularly intrusive in this one.
