About Charles C. Coffin

Charles Carleton Coffin, author and lecturer, was a war correspondent for the Boston Journal during the Civil War. He joined the Army of the West, witnessing first-hand and reporting on the war’s most important battles. He also wrote numerous books, published between 1858 and 1887.

This book traces the history of liberty through Europe in the early 1400's and ends with the Pilgrims landing in Plymouth on the Mayflower.
