Synopsis

Cheryl Beth Wilson, an elite nurse at Cincinnati Memorial Hospital, finds a doctor brutally murdered in a secluded office. Wilson had been having an affair with the doctors husband, a surgeon, and this makes her a suspect. But someone other than the police is watching Cheryl Beth. The killing comes as homicide detective Will Borders is just hours out of surgery. But as his stretcher is wheeled past the crime scene, he knows this is no random murder but instead has all the marks of a serial killer case that he supposedly solved years before. Although unable even to walk, Borders starts to investigate, teaming up with Cheryl Beth, who is desperate to clear her name. But as the killer grows closer, the two are running out of time to unlock the secrets of the murder.

Turns out, the main character's role as a pain nurse isn't that important to the storyline, it is just something tha......more

I read this book on my iPhone. The number of times I had to flick to get through the pages?—I have a sore pointer finger on my right hand!! But this book is engaging. Talton loves Cincinnati, and it forms a terrific backdrop for a mystery that mostly occurs in an ageing hospital building. The pain n......more
