Synopsis

Most get-rich books are gimmicky. They focus on one artificial technique like cutting out lattes that will supposedly make you a millionaire (in thirty years, maybe). But for many of us, the enormity of the challenge leads to fear, confusion, frustration, and failure. What if there was a "no fear" path to success that allowed you to use what you already know-the people, places, and opportunities right in front of you-to give you a real chance at making real money? National financial commentator Jennifer Openshaw leads the way in The Millionaire Zone.

Based on research of the Forbes 400 Richest and surveys of over 3,000 Americans, Openshaw's seven-pronged plan teaches you how to redefine your comfort zone and avoid the excuses that hold so many of us back. Whether an employee, investor, or entrepreneur, you'll discover what other "Zoners" have: that surrounding yourself with familiar things-what Openshaw calls your "LifeNet"-will empower you to overcome your fears and jump-start your financial life. Thousands have already reached the Millionaire Zone using Openshaw's winning strategies. Her straightforward, simple program is exactly what millions of Americans are looking for.

About Jennifer Openshaw

Jennifer Openshaw has lived her own "rags to riches" story, getting her first job as a maid in a motel at age fourteen to help her divorced mother with three young children. Today Openshaw hosts Winning Advice with Jennifer Openshaw on ABC radio, has appeared on such shows as Oprah and Dr. Phil, is a frequent guest on CNN and Good Morning America, and is AOL's Family Financial Editor where she writes a monthly column called "Rags-to-Riches."

Thought I'd give it a go with a book from a lesser-known, female entrepreneur. Openshaw founded the now-defunct Women's Financial Network. Her book's a bit dated, but a good refresher for the basics. The majority of the book is about networking. The author shares some really inspirational stories of millionaires that started out with next to nothing but used their resources (network) to grow their businesses. I have to admit, the first half of the book did tend to seem somewhat repetitive in reg......more
