Lies. Murder. Let the festivities begin…It’s the opening night of The Manor, the newest and hottest luxury resort, and no expense, small or large, has been spared. The infinity pool sparkles; the “Manor Mule” cocktail (grapefruit, ginger, vodka, and a dash of CBD oil) is being poured with a heavy hand. Everyone is wearing linen. But under the burning midsummer sun, darkness stirs. Old friends and enemies circulate among the guests. Just outside the Manor’s immaculately kept grounds, an ancient forest bristles with secrets. And it’s not too long before the local police are called. Turns out the past has crashed the party, with deadly results. THE GIRLBOSS · THE HUSBAND · THE KITCHEN HELP · THE MYSTERY GUEST Everyone’s got a secret. Everyone’s got an agenda. But not everyone will survive…The Midnight Feast""Foley’s usual techniques of unraveling the central mystery through multiple timelines and narrators are paralleled by the spiraling events of the weekend, which careen from juice shots and yoga on the lawn to a chaotic climax at a hallucinogen-fueled bacchanal where hidden identities and multiple murders are brought to light. It is an absolute bonkers delight"" -- NPR

About Lucy Foley

English author, Lucy Foley resides in London, but is an avid world traveler. Her love of different places is many times reflected in her writing. She says this passion is responsible for the appearance of some far flung locations in her writing.

Her latest novel is set in the Italian Riviera and uses the film world of the 1950's, which might be considered by some to be the heyday of the film industry. In her debut novel, she chose another interesting venue to write The Book of Lost and Found in 2015.

On a trip to Connemara, where half of Lucy's family came from, the idea came to her to write The Hunting Party and three other novels. Lucy was in awe of the wild and rugged landscape on the islands, but they also seemed cut off creating thoughts of danger. Lucy immediately began plotting a new murder mystery about an island wedding, with no escape. Old friends and family are reuniting, with emotions running high.......what could possibly go wrong? Thus, sets the scene for The Guest List.

Lucy writes fiction for periodicals such as Sunday Times Style, Grazia, ES Magazine, Vogue US, Elle, Tatler, and Marie Claire.

Alright, I have a confession to make: when I first started reading this highly anticipated thriller from the brilliant author Lucy Foley, known for her mastery of multi-POV narratives, it took me a little time to get into the story. Initially, I shrugged it off, thinking it might be a slow burn. But......more

2.5/5 🔥🏔️ It happened again... too many story lines for an underwhelming finish that was not at all satisfying. All the pieces tie into each other in a very obvious way - it just wasn't thrilling for me at all. It felt like every character was designed to be a plot twist but they were all thrown in t......more

I really enjoyed the AUDIBLE performance of last year’s “The Paris Apartment” so I was eager to read this year’s offering from Lucy Foley, but unfortunately this one wasn’t quite as satisfying for me. 3 stars ⭐️ June 2025 It is the opening night at “The Manor”-the new luxury resort built between the Do......more

Honestly, I had no idea what was happening most of the time. What a slog I won’t go into the plot, however thin it was but…. Too many plot lines, POV, and timelines. I checked out. There were too many characters to keep track of, most of whom I could not care less about and none who were particularly......more
