Synopsis
He was the only one who saw the murder, but he was locked inside his own home. Eric Bennett, a reclusive architect with severe agoraphobia, watches in frozen horror from his window as a man is killed in the house across the street. Trapped by his own mind, he is a perfect witness who cannot physically bear to step outside to report the crime, leaving the killer free to vanish into the night.
When the police, led by the skeptical Detective Angela Ward, dismiss his anonymous phone tip as the ramblings of a shut-in, Eric’s isolation becomes a prison of paranoia. The killer, a young man named Caleb Barnes, soon realizes who witnessed his crime. Caleb begins a sinister campaign of psychological warfare, exploiting Eric’s condition by leaving subtle, terrifying signs that his sanctuary has been breached, proving that the locks on his doors are meaningless.
As the line between inside and outside blurs, Eric must confront a terrifying question: is the real threat the murderer circling his home, or the crumbling walls of his own psyche? To survive, he will have to do the one thing his mind has rendered impossible—leave the house and enter the killer’s world.
