One of the few Science Fiction novels I’ve had the privilege and time to re-read. I love this book. Not only is it a totally awesome story, it is also the book I used to bait my wife into the Science Fiction genre. Kudos. Establishing a new colony on a far-off planet is in itself a daunting prospect.......more

3.5 Stars As someone who loved sci fi horror, this was a really fun read. The action really felt like reading a movie script. It was a fun page turner. Denver Post

“Spine-tingling ecological tale of terror…A story as relentless as the great white shark of Jaws.”

“Tom Weiner gives a splendid narration of this futuristic story in which a colony of humans makes a century-long space journey in suspended animation to the seemingly pristine planet of Avalon…He adroitly gives each of the characters individual voices and makes this a wonderful listening experience.”
