Description
First published in March 1929 in Weird Tales, The Hounds of Tindalos by Frank Belknap Long is a chilling blend of cosmic horror, science fiction, occultism, and weird fiction.
When Halpin Chalmers becomes obsessed with exploring the distant past, his experiments lead him beyond the familiar boundaries of time and into a realm where something ancient and terrifying waits in the angles.
As his forbidden exploration draws the attention of the mysterious Hounds of Tindalos, Chalmers discovers that some doors are better left unopened—and that there may be nowhere in time where a person can truly hide.
Blending time travel, forbidden knowledge, strange entities, and mounting supernatural terror, Long's story remains one of the memorable works of classic weird fiction.
Narrated by horror author Jonathan Dunne.
