Synopsis

When God led His people out of Egypt, His work in their lives was not complete. God had a plan to transform His people to be recognized as distinctively His. The Israelites were called to be set apart and to be holy but living a life of holiness is no walk in the park. Follow the Israelites as they strive to live apart from sin by following a daunting list of regulations and laws.

About David Cochran Heath

David Cochran Heath has worked in radio and theater for thirty-five years. He has voiced characters for computer games and public television, hosted an instructional video series for automotive repair, and was the narrator for a long-running radio program for kids. Additionally, he was the on-camera host for a documentary on the most violent courtroom shootout in US history. David lived in a village in the Philippines for four years as a teenager, and has lived with his wife in Michigan, Washington, and California. He was with Lamb's Players Theatre in Coronado, California, for thirty-one years, working full-time as a senior member of the acting ensemble and serving as the company's director of facilities. He left Lamb's Players in 2011 to concentrate on audiobooks, and has been the narrator of over 140 books, including three versions of the Bible as sole reader: ESV, KJV, and NIrV. David gets his love of stories from his father, who was a preacher for twenty-five years, a missionary for another eighteen years, and a lifelong lover of the most important story of all: God's plan of redemption in all sixty-six books of the Bible.

Some of you may be surprised that, as a longtime Christian, I would give any book of the Bible anything less than a perfect score. However, though this may be part of God's Word, much of it has been made obsolete since Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. For example, the restrictions about "clean"......more

I have been reading the Bible through every year since 1974 and I can testify it is fresh every time. I was amazed, once again, at the details the Holy Spirit included. Every year I find more reason to believe that Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the very Word of the living God. I understand m......more

I loved reading Vayikra/Leviticus. For years I wanted to read it, and for years I simply didn't have the courage. It was a challenge to crack the stone but the gold within was more than worth it. Some glimmers of joy: 1 - Sacrifices to Azazel (which are good, because he's good-bad) and sacrifices to M......more
