The Hidden History of Texas, Volume 1 - 1530 to 1820This is the often-untold story of the history of Texas from when the Spanish first set foot into Texas until they relinquished control to Mexico. This is the story of the original inhabitants of the land and their interactions with both the Europeans they encountered and other indigenous people of the time. The events that took place during that time, laid the groundwork for what was to come. The story is filled with heroes and villains and looked at it through the eyes of the people who lived it. It is called the Hidden History of Texas, because if you don’t dig, you’d never know about it or these people. It’s not taught in the schools other than a brief mention of some of the more famous Indian tribes. Without these people and their activities, it is doubtful many of us would be here today.
