In her family of five, she was the oldest child. Her original thought was to take business classes at a community college, but quickly decided that business did not do anything for her interests. After enrolling in some history and literature classes, her focus turned to writing. Her first novel was purchased by Dell Publishing, entitled Lady Thief. Her mother became her personal assistant, and Hooper has had more than 60 novels published. After her mother's death in 2002, her sister Linda became her business manager, publicist, and events coordinator.

I read a book named Haven that is apparently part of this series althoug this claims to be the first and features a preview of the other. . Cant remember a thing about it. Im over half way through this one. Several mysterious groups of psychics are chasing each other around for unknown and mysterious purposes. They may be killing or enslaving each other. The author hasnt made me care about any of them. Several years ago I read a series from the same author about a Noah Bishop and a group of good guy psychics. I enjoyed those books and hoped for something similar. Big disappointment. Im not willing to battle my way further into this in hopes Ill start to care. No more Bishop Files for me. Bye Bye, Ms Hooper
