The First of Every Month
A Story of One Lie and Nineteen Years of Love

In a narrow lane in old Lahore, a postman named Rahim Baksh receives a letter he cannot bring himself to deliver. It is addressed to a mother who has waited four years for news of her only son. Instead of handing her the truth, Rahim picks up a pen and does something no postman should ever do.
For nineteen years, on the first of every month, a letter arrives at the blue door of Number Fourteen. For nineteen years, an old woman answers it. Neither suspects what the other knows.
"The First of Every Month" is an emotional story about grief, loneliness, and the lies we tell because we cannot bear to tell the truth. It builds to a twist that will change how you remember every page.
Written and narrated by Saeed Ahmed Khan. Approx. 50 minutes.
