Leslie Vernick is a popular speaker, author, clinical social worker, and relationship coach. She has authored many books, including the bestselling The Emotionally Destructive Relationship and The Emotionally Destructive Marriage. A licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania, Leslie received her master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Illinois. She has also completed postgraduate work in biblical counseling and cognitive therapy. Leslie has been married to her husband, Howard, for over thirty-five years, and together they have two grown children and three grandchildren.
