The Detour

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
Six friends. One wrong turn. A road designed to make people disappear.

What begins as a simple weekend getaway takes a terrifying turn when a road closure sends six friends down an unfamiliar mountain route. At first, the detour seems like nothing more than an inconvenience.

Then the signs vanish.

Their phones lose signal.

Abandoned vehicles begin appearing beside the road.

And someone starts hunting them.

Trapped deep in the forest with no easy way back, the group discovers that the road is not an accident. The barriers were placed deliberately. The route has been prepared. Every turn pushes them farther from safety and deeper into a carefully controlled hunting ground.

But the men waiting in the woods are only part of the nightmare.

As the survivors uncover hidden roads, abandoned facilities, surveillance points, and evidence of countless missing travelers, they begin to realize the truth is much larger than one isolated killing ground.

Someone has built a system for making people vanish.

And they were chosen long before they ever saw the first detour sign.

With nowhere left to run and no one they can safely trust, the survivors must fight their way through a brutal network of hunters, hidden routes, and deadly traps before they become the next names crossed off the list.

The Detour is a relentless survival thriller packed with psychological tension, violent twists, desperate escapes, and a growing conspiracy where every road leads deeper into danger.

For readers who enjoy dark survival thrillers, serial-killer suspense, isolated-road horror, and stories where ordinary people are forced to fight their way out of an impossible situation.
