The Curse of Chalion, Paladin of Souls, and Hallowed Hunt are a GREAT series. This first book starts out kind of slow, but if you stick with it I'm sure you won't regret it. The way Bujold created the spiritual world and how it interacts with magic and the story's characters is my favorite aspect of this series.

I am myself surprised at how much I liked this book. Generally I prefer books that are plot driven. Now and then however a wonderful book comes along built on the characters within. This is definitely a character driven story. There is about this story (much of the way) a melancholy feel of the inevi......more
