Some critics accused Sweets to be a knock off version of Fifty Shades of Grey, but Sweets was published several years prior to that publication. She has written over 50 novels.

When asked once, she said the most rewarding part of writing for her was meeting so many wonderful readers, who love the books in the romance genre as much as she did.
