Synopsis

As usual, Montana Coggeshall is hell-bent on doing what's right, even if what's right isn't exactly what's wise. So he embarks on a quest to vanquish the corrupted ursus, a threat so large they could destroy the entire world of iNcarn8. Does Montana head out after months of training for cold weather conditions, amassing an army, and strategizing with his top aides? Not really. It's more like he just walks out of his holding one day with a guide and the members of his hirð. They're just a bunch of angry teddy bears, right?

Montana is acting on pure instinct, tinged with a healthy dose of rage. He's stripped bare, and soon finds himself without food, supplies, a key magic weapon, or even his most loyal friends. Still, he continues.

Montana Coggeshall is on the hunt.

About Eric Ugland

Eric Ugland ran away from Seattle to join the circus. And then he came to his senses, and moved to Manhattan. Now he's a novelist in Los Angeles. Don't worry, it doesn't make sense to him either.

A fun but skippable entry. Montana is always fun to follow. His bullshit slinging smartassery breaks up the seriousness of the situations he finds himself in nicely. This entry functions more as a setup for future novels with new Hiro members, new Coggeshall citizens, and new mysteries to unravel. Unf......more

Make Vuldranni Great Again! I really enjoy this series. It’s one of my favorite in the LitRPG genre. However, it’s immediately apparent the quality and tone of book 7 is not consistent with past writing. It’s lost some of that trademark Montana charm, almost like the author outsourced some of the wri......more

At the end of the book the author states that writing this one was tough due to switching between his other project and this one and it's reflected in the book itself. After waiting six months for this entry in the series while I can say it's a good book I also sadly have to say it's the one I've li......more
