American author Kate Chopin (1850–1904) wrote two published novels and close to one hundred short stories in the late nineteenth century. Most of her fictional works are set in Louisiana, and her best-known stories focus on the lives of sensitive, intelligent women, often challenging traditional family and social structures of the time.
Rebecca Stern has a voice that has been described as warm, expressive, articulate, and sincere. Her forty-plus years as a professional violinist instilled a deep love for the music of language and a passion for performing. In addition to violin and narration, she is an Oncology Massage Therapist. In her “me” time, she practices meditation and yoga, as well as hiking, biking, and exploring the natural beauty of the Idaho home she shares with her husband and two cats.
