Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) was a British writer best known for his creation of the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes. In addition to being considered a father of detective fiction, he also wrote a series of science-fiction adventures starring the brilliant, daring, and comical Professor Challenger.
Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Kurzgeschichte mit gut 30 Seiten. Kurzgeschichten haben es immer etwas schwerer bei mir, aber diese hat mir sehr gut gefallen! Sherlock Holmes macht einfach Spaß. Seine Kombinationsgabe ist großartig, auch wenn diese Geschichte schon auch ein bisschen schräg ist. :)......more

i read this in an english class, due to suffering from the affliction of a professor with a sherlock holmes obsession, and this just does not hold up to the level of scrutiny that pulitzer prize winners were carrying off, easy peasy. this is a great mystery, yes, but you try analyzing it for symbols......more
