The dark has teeth . . .

With comrades at his side, Will ventures deeper into the unknown. Tunnels that shouldn't exist stretch out beneath Kirkstall Abbey, descending into the earth until the sun is a distant memory.

Corruption spreads . . .

Hundreds have ventured into the depths, supposedly seeking sanctuary. Only one has escaped. Will and his friends find evidence of scores of others—clothing left in pristine arrangements with no corpses to be seen. Terrors howl up from the abyss at every turn, and only the occasional survivor, torn by trauma and the incessant dark, hints at the horrors still awaiting in the deep.

Will is committed now; the anomalies pose a threat to Earth far beyond the ascension's magical mayhem. But cut off from reinforcements and steeping in the knowledge that his allies above will think he's dead, Will's choice to hunt the corruption spreading through Leeds may prove to come at too high a price.
