About Rick Pitino

RICK PITINO is the head basketball coach at the University of Louisville. He won the NCAA Championship in 2013 with the Louisville Cardinals and the 1996 NCAA Championship with the Kentucky Wildcats-the only basketball coach to win national titles at two different universities. He will formally enter the Basketball Hall of Fame on September 8, 2013. Pitino also was head coach at Providence College during its remarkable NCAA tournament in 1987, and in the NBA as head coach of the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics.
