Robin Pilcher is the son of bestselling novelist Rosamunde Pilcher. His first three novels, An Ocean Apart, Starting Over, and A Risk Worth Taking were New York Times bestsellers. He lives in Dundee, Scotland.
John Lee has read more than 100 audiobooks. His work has garnered multiple Earphones Awards and won AudioFile's Best Voice in Fiction & Classics in both 2008 and 2009. Lee narrated the audiobook for A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin, volume four of A Song of Ice and Fire. He has also read for Jack London, John Banville, Charles Dickens, and Barbara Taylor Bradford. In addition, Lee narrates video games, does voice-over work, and writes plays. He is also an accomplished stage actor and has written and co-produced the feature films Breathing Hard and Forfeit. He played Alydon in the 1963–64 Doctor Who serial The Daleks.
3.5 stars... His writing is definitely reminiscent of his mother's (whom I adore) but still different. For one thing, this book is set in modern times while Ms Pilcher's are of a"gentler" era. I did like how the main characters all intersect and the story ends on a happy note. Makes for a feel good b......more

Well, its easy to see why Robin writes as he does. He takes after his mother; eminently readable. Starburst is a wonderful story about several groups of people that intersect at various times in their lives.
