This short story exists in the same universe as "One true love", another short story by Laura Lippman, but I enjoyed it a lot more! It was written after the other one, if I got it right, but it was already in the author's mind even before.. anyway it's longer and the story is better, always in my op......more

An excellent novella! After finishing Lippman's book And When She Was Good, I read in the author's notes that she had first written this story about Heloise and Meghan. I quickly bought the digital copy from Amazon for 99 cents. What great entertainment for less than the cost of a candy bar!......more

Read in one sitting, good novella. I just finished "And When She Was Good" so finding out there was more about Heloise, I jumped right to downloading it. This is more focused more on Meghan, her half-sister from her father's first marriage.......more

Short story/novella that was a prequel to "And When She Was Good." I read them in the wrong order, but this story adds a whole new level of plot and character development to a novel that I enjoyed immensely. Very engrossing and well-written. I definitely need to read more of this author.......more
