Serenity knows things that other teenagers don't. She knows things that no adult could know. But she has no idea how. At 16, she's growing into a woman under the strict and watchful eyes of her adoptive parents. They're dismissive of her strange knowledge, reprimanding her for making things up and forbidding her to ever tell other people what she thinks she knows, sees, and hears. But when a strange and alluring new boy enrolls in her school, Serenity finds that she can't help but entrust him with all of her secrets. For they share many things in common. Perhaps, too much for comfort.
