Do you realize, that unlike incidents with the police, whenever there is a fire there is a great deal of focus on the fire, with little or no mention of the firemen fighting it.......more

Incredible. It's like a report from war zone. When we remember what a mess was Bronx in the time period this book pertains to, this is probably accurate description.
