Teagan Frost's life is finally back on track. Her role working for the government as a telekinetic operative is going well and she might even be on course for convincing her crush to go out with her. But, little does she know, that sh*t is about to hit the fan . . .

A young boy with the ability to cause earthquakes has come to Los Angeles - home to the San Andreas, one of the most lethal fault lines in the world. If Teagan can't stop him, the entire city - and the rest of California - could be wiped off the map.

Goodreads review by Bradley on January 27, 2021

Just like the first one in the series, this is a fun and fast SF filled with horrendous amounts of selfishness, cooking, and world-destroying earthquakes. What? Did you expect the TK to just be something minor like random sh*t flying through the air? Give the author some credit. When we need to have......more

As always this review can also be found on my blog The Tattooed Book Geek: [URL not allowed] In the first book in The Frost Files, The Girl Who Could Move Sh#t With her Mind. Teagan Frost was attempting to learn how to use and control her psychokinetic powers. Working as part o......more

Despite Orbit putting it directly in the email I was sent, I didn't realize this was book two in a series. Thankfully, in the end, it didn't matter. It feels like it was deliberately written so you can just waltz into book two and understand what's going on. That said, there are a ton of spoilers fo......more

I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The nitty-gritty: Another fun entry into Ford's Frost Files series, get ready for earthquakes, snarky characters, an evil genius child, and plent......more

Quotes

Ford delivers a fantastic follow-up to The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With her Mind with this tale of earthquakes, superpowers and culinary ambition PUBLISHERS WEEKLY

This second book about psychokinetic superspy Teagan is even more suspenseful than The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind. The stakes couldn't be higher . . . The suspense, the danger, and the rocket-fueled pace are all turned up to 11 in this more-than-satisfying sequel KIRKUS

[A] smart, action-packed novel . . . New readers will be able to pick up here. Teagan's bright wit offsets the darker moments, and a curious cliff-hanger ensures that readers will be back for the next entry BOOKLIST

Like Alias meets X-Men in a grimy LA setting. Full throttle from the opening page, this book gives urban sci-fi fans everything they could want with a spiky heroine, shady government agencies, high stakes and a diverse cast of characters. I loved it!

Proceeds at breakneck speed through almost 500 pages of madcap adventure, with some terrific jokes and plenty of tension

Teagan is a frank and funny narrator for this wild ride, which starts off with our heroine falling from the 82nd floor of a skyscraper and pretty much never slow down. Readers will be glad to learn that it's set for a sequel. A fast-paced, high-adrenaline tale that manages to get into some dark themes without losing its sense of fun

Ford's strengths are evident in the taut action sequences and suspenseful pacing
