Synopsis

Skylan Ivorson is the gods-chosen Chief of all Vindras clans. But the gods from whom the Vindrasi draw their earth-dwelling power are besieged by a new generation of gods who are challenging them for the powers of creation. The only way to stop these brash interlopers lies within the Five Bones of the Vektia Dragon, which have been lost for generations. Calling upon the ogres to fight their common foes, the Vindrasi soon find themselves in the middle of an even larger war. Skylan and his Vindrasi clan must sail the Sea of Tears into the heart of the Forbidden Empire of the Cyclops, to implement a cunning yet delicate plan that risks his life and leadership at every corner.

About Tracy Hickman

`Dragonlance' originators Tracy and Laura Hickman have been publishing game designs and stories together since 1978 - nearly as long as their marriage - and thus started them both on a life of adventure and imagination. Tracy is a NYT Best-Selling co-author (with Margaret Weis) of many Dragonlance novels including the original `Dragonlance Chronicles', `Dragonlance Legends', `Rose of the Prophet" and "Darksword" trilogies as well as the seven-book "Deathgate Cycle". Tracy and Laura are remembered together for their role-playing game designs in `Dragonlance' and the `Oasis of the White Palm' series but are perhaps best known for their classic adventure, the original `Ravenloft.' More recently, Tracy has been designing and scripting location-based virtual reality experiences for The VOID, LLC (2015-2022). Life now has provided them the opportunity to fulfill a dream: to write novels together. Tracy and Laura work from adjoining offices in their home and answer questions on their work through their facebook page.

Now this is the third instalment in the Dragonships of Vidras-series. It continues the tale of Aylaen and Skylan. The story in itself is as interesting as in the previous books and it is a joy to read. But there are a few problems with the plot or the subplots, to be precise. I really did not like h......more

This book is essentially a long filler episode with only one or two points of importance to move the story forward. Once again, their quality control seems to have lapsed as the map at the beginning of the book is useless - indicating places that that do not appear in the story while leaving out the......more

Totally enjoying the progress of this story. The characters are really going through a ton, and learning as they go - not to say they still don't make mistakes, but what is great is they make sense and it's not forced - or - rather it does not feel forced. I am very much looking forward to the final......more
