Pay the Price

John Lawson had it all. A billionaire businessman, admired by the public and trusted by investors. The golden boy of the stock market - until it all collapsed.
With his empire in ruins and $3.4 billion in shareholder funds lost, Lawson is disgraced, broken, and pursued under the damning glare of a Royal Commission.
Fleeing to the deep forests of Tasmania’s Bruny Island, he hides in a decaying, bush cutters cottage, desperate to escape the shame, the headlines, and the ghosts of his past.
But Lawson holds a terrifying secret which intelligence forces in China and the US must have at any cost.
He is also being pursued by an investigative journalist and a young man who wants him dead.
Lawson’s only allies are an old school mate and a homeless bush dog he has befriended.
Pay the Price is a gripping tale of ambition, downfall, and the deadly cost of a secret too dangerous to expose.
