He is also co-author of Parenting from the Inside Out and The Whole-Brain Child, and the proud father of two children in their twenties.

I didn't enjoy this book the entire time I was reading it, but when I found myself summarizing the parts I found relevant and photocopying the exercises, I knew I needed to give it at least four stars. This is the fourth book by this author that I have read. I genuinely find the science based understanding to parenting to top any other parenting advice book I’ve read. Another excellent book. Read it starting with chapter 7, then going to the beginning. Read it when you find yourself dealing with your child in a very unideal way, knowing it at the time, and still not being able to do otherwise. This book will explain to you why.
