As an author, Thomas Dunne has written books on history, humor, and a novel that was nominated for an Edgar Award for Best First Novel. He is best known, however, as the former head of Thomas Dunne Books, an imprint of St. Martin’s Press / Macmillan, with fifty years’ experience in the publishing industry. As an editor and publisher, he put over one-hundred titles on The New York Times bestseller list, and his name and dachshund colophon have appeared on at least ten million books. His fiction list included, among many others, books by Dan Brown, Frederick Forsyth, Richard Condon, and Rosamunde Pilcher, as well as mysteries and thrillers from Anne Cleeves, Don Winslow, Steve Hamilton, and Hammond Innis.
Edoardo Ballerini is a two-time winner of the Audio Publisher Association’s Best Male Narrator Award, a two-time winner of Society of Voice Arts Awards, and was named a Golden Voice by AudioFile magazine in 2019.

“Thomas Dunne spent decades at the pinnacle of New York publishing, not only as an author and editor, but as a top-tier publisher running his own eponymous imprint at a major house. Now, in Murders and Acquisitions, he leverages that experience to create an explosive furnace of a novel. Richly drawn, complex, and compelling, this story draws you into the rabbit hole of Dunne’s creation and dares you to see how deep it really goes. Eminently readable.” John Hart, New York Times bestselling author of The Last Child
