About Sam Oman

Andy is a screenwriter, graphic novelist, author, and producer. He has written on movies such as “JUDGE DREDD” and “FREDDY VS JASON” and “FOREVERMAN” for Paramount Pictures, Spiderman creator Stan Lee and legendary producer Robert Evans. He has worked on TV projects for Syfy, Netflix, ITV and Amazon and is working extensively across the UK, US, Europe and China. Andy went on to work on Warner Bros.’ animated “AQUAMAN” – while at the same time landing an eight-book deal with Oxford University Press for “HERO.COM” and “VILLAIN.NET”. With many graphic novels and over thirty novels published with (amongst others: Walker Books, Oxford University Press, Orion, Faber, Scholastic, Lonely Planet, No Exit Press), he has written for both young adults and mainstream adult fiction audiences, as well as several non-fiction books. He began writing crime books under the pen name M.G. Cole and cozy crime as Sam Oman. He wrote and Exec. Produced the UK/Chinese movie – LEGENDARY – starring Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren. He wrote, CROWHURST (directed by Simon Rumley, Dist. Studio Canal), which was released to huge critical acclaim. That was followed by SUPERVIZED (directed by Steve Barron, starring Tom Berenger, Beau Bridges). His latest theatrical drama-documentary, THE BASTARD KING (produced by Red Bull’s Terra Mater Studios) was released to critical acclaim and remains Studio Canal’s highest rated show for almost a decade. The film won multiple awards, but was so innovative, Wildscreen introduced an additional specific ward just for it. He officially rebooted the classic character TARZAN, with a series of contemporary books, working closely with the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate.
